Cegeka has built its company ethos and activities around the three cornerstones of Data, Applications and Infrastructure, in order to be a trusted advisor to its clients. These business lines are deeply interconnected, working closely together, with Infrastructure continuing to play an important role in the future. 'For years, Cegeka has occupied a strong position as an infrastructure and outsourcing supplier with a cloud-first strategy, with a major role for our European data centres. Thanks to this combination, we have become a leading European IT player in close cooperation with our clients, and will continue to advise and unburden them as best we can,' Stijn Bijnens, CEO of Cegeka, says. He took on the role of Global VP Infrastructure on an interim basis last year.
Establishing connections with Data Solutions and Applications
'Our common market approach ensures that we create strong connections between our Infrastructure Business Line and the Data Solutions and Applications Business Lines. I have complete confidence that Bart – with his extensive experience in the telco & IT world – is a great choice to help connect Infrastructure to the other business lines within Cegeka and to lead Infrastructure across the countries. So I'm delighted that Bart is joining our team. He is the best person to steer Cegeka into a new period of growth acceleration that will turn the company into a fully-fledged European end-to-end solutions provider,’ Bijnens emphasizes.
A positive choice for our European growth story
'I am delighted to become part of Cegeka's success story and to have the opportunity to become a member of the Group Management Board as Global Vice President Infrastructure. I chose Cegeka based on the combination of the company's European growth strategy and its portfolio of customer-focused solutions, which are becoming increasingly important,’ Bart Watteeuw, new Global VP at Cegeka, says.
'Cegeka's track record is particularly impressive. It proves that the company has the best skills in the sector. In addition, Cegeka finds itself in an excellent position to offer its customers end-to-end digital solutions: from hyper-connected cloud-first data centres to secure digital workplaces, combined with verticalized applications and solutions based on data and AI. Cegeka's recent move to add 5G connectivity to their portfolio further strengthens this ambition. I am very much looking forward to meeting our Infrastructure team and our customers,' Bart concludes.
