  • In your role as data software engineer you will be responsible for maintaining/ improving/ enriching CI/CD pipelines via Github Actions.
  • Also the further development and maintenance of Python applications is an important part of your job: e.g. creating 'framework'/ 'backend' code that integrates with cloud platforms such as Dataiku/ Snowflake/ SQLAlchemy, ...
  • Problem solving: there is room for creative and strategic thinking to come to a solution for all requirements using the right technologies. This results in action points/ JIRA tickets.
  • You work closely with Cegeka colleagues and with the customer's team.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in software development or Business IT & Management.
  • You have at least several years of experience in software engineering, with an affinity for data.
  • You are also a passionate Python developer with experience in analysis, design, implementation and delivery of applications. The application uses the Plotly Dash web framework.
  • The application infrastructure is built in Github Actions: you have extensive knowledge of CI/CD and cloud infrastructure. A multi-cloud solution (Azure, AWS, ...) is used where Kubernetes and load balancing are key.
  • Do you have knowledge of Dataiku? Then this is a big plus since Dataiku as a data science platform is used as an integration layer by the application.
  • You have a problem-solving mindset, and a flexible, independent and collegial attitude.
  • You have a good and fluent knowledge of the Dutch and English languages.
  • You will work from a Cegeka office near where you live (Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt or Leuven), in combination with working from home. A certain flexibility is also expected from you as you will sporadically be on site at the customer in Brussels.
