As a DevOps engineer, you will have an impact on the creation of a new payroll engine. You strive for "ruthless automation" and enjoy sharing your knowledge about best practices with your team.

  • You will contribute to the development of a new payroll engine that enables real-time payroll simulations, among other features. 
  • You will join a DevOps team that works closely with approximately eight functional teams.
  • As a member of the SRE team, you will support the new developments by the development teams within the project.
  • You will design and develop solutions for the operational requirements of the project together with your fellow SRE team members.
  • You will also take care of and support application releases, deployments, and library upgrades.
  • You will work with Spring Boot and Jenkins, and you will address technical questions on a wide range of topics.
  • You connect business drivers to technical solutions and are able to translate them into a well-functioning architecture.

What you need to succeed:

  • You already are an experienced DevOps engineer and enjoy sharing your knowledge with other DevOps colleagues.
  • Having a background as a developer is a plus.
  • You aim for "ruthless automation."
  • You have experience with the analysis, design, implementation, and delivery of applications.
  • OOP, design patterns, refactoring, and testing are concepts you are very familiar with.
  • You have knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
  • You place great importance on non-functionals such as security and observability.
  • You have experience with the ELK stack (Grafana, Prometheus) and have worked with New Relic.
  • You are a team player.
  • You are diplomatic and pragmatic.
  • You have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English.
