Network Access Control (NAC) is an essential component of network security, responsible for managing and securing access rights within a network. This internship assignment is designed to conduct a thorough comparison between different NAC solutions, namely FreeRadius, ClearPass, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), and FortiNAC. The goal of the internship is to gain insights into the capabilities and limitations of each technology and to make recommendations for the best solution in various scenarios.
You will dive into the architecture, functionalities, and specifications of FreeRadius, ClearPass, Cisco ISE, and FortiNAC.
You will set up test environments for each of the mentioned NAC solutions and conduct practical tests.
You will prepare a comparative study documenting the advantages and disadvantages of each NAC solution.
You will make recommendations based on the findings for different types of organizations and usage scenarios.
You will document the architecture, functionalities, and implementation details of the solution.
You will prepare a detailed report with findings, improvements, and recommendations for future development.
