Cegeka is currently establishing a recruitment reserve of junior Data Protection Consultants and for this purpose we're looking for Masters with a passion for data protection and information security with a least 1 year of professional experience to get started as a Data Protection Consultant. You will correctly apply applicable laws and regulations, such as GDPR, and integrate them into the daily operations of organizations. 

  • You will start with an intensive training as a Data Protection Consultant, after which you will join colleagues to work in exciting and challenging projects or in an operational role with clients. As a consultant you will: 
  • Guide and support organizations in complying with applicable data protection laws, regulations and guidelines. 
  • Produce quality documentation and reports that meet high standards. 
  • Advise and implement strategies and improvements from a legal, IT and information security perspective. 
  • Work risk-based and solution-oriented on concrete problems.

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong foundation: You have a Bachelor's degree in IT as well as initial work experience in the broad field of data protection and/or information security. Or you have a master's degree in Law, Economic Sciences, Political & Social Sciences, an Advanced Master in Digital Humanities or equivalent.  You have a first work experience of at least 1 year.
  • Domain knowledge: Knowledge of and affinity with European data protection laws and regulations such as the GDPR is a plus but not essential.
  • Flexibility: You adapt quickly to new work environments and tasks.
  • Work ethic and specific characteristics: You document thoroughly and enjoy doing so.  You are precise and pragmatic. YYou have strong analytical and organizational skills and are always eager in finding solutions to  given problems.
  • IT skills: You are fluent with MS Office.
  • Strong communicator and team player: You enjoy working together, but also function well independently. Your communication skills allow you to communicate your ideas clearly in both English and Dutch, and possibly also in French.
