Are you the Azure Cloud Architect who knows how to execute our Public Cloud First strategy? Can you make a difference with your knowledge of public and hybrid cloud solutions? Then you are probably the Azure Cloud Architect we are looking for. As Azure Cloud Architect, you take care of the customer's end-to-end cloud architecture. You start from the client's needs, draw the blueprint and oversee the implementation of the public cloud environment. 

  • As Azure Cloud Architect for the Public Cloud Competence Centre, you make sure the overall picture is right. You ensure a well thought-out public cloud architecture. You start from our architecture blueprint and adapt it to the customer's specific needs and situation. All aspects must be covered: from IaaS and PaaS components, the network and connectivity, Azure governance to the necessary tools needed by a management organisation.
  • You will help define and monitor the standards within the competence centre. You are well aware of the evolutions within Azure in terms of the platform, but also the frameworks such as the Cloud Adoption Framework. You use your insights to ensure that our standards comply with these evolutions, but are also aligned with the questions we capture from the market.
  • You form a bridge between infrastructure and applications You ensure that a robust platform is delivered that is enterprise-ready, and on which developers can deploy code seamlessly and carefree.
  • You support the presales team by providing information to build the best possible offer.
  • You lead innovative workshops at customer sites to inform them about the evolutions in Azure and our services.
  • You perform various Cloud Assessments to advise customers on which workloads can or cannot move to the public cloud.$
  • You rotate in an end-to-end team that covers all aspects of public cloud. You will be close to the engineers and provide advice: from assessment to implementation and management.
  • In this role, you will of course receive the necessary support and training to grow into a fully-fledged 'Cloud Architect'. Moreover, you will be working in a mature environment, where knowledge gathering and sharing are paramount.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are fascinated by the world of the public cloud and you get a kick out of always keeping your professional knowledge and technical skills up-to-date
  • You are familiar with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework.
  • You know the Azure architecture concepts such as hub & spoke, hybrid connections, etc.You know what CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code mean, and how this can fit into a cloud environment.
  • You can explain advanced concepts in a simple way. You have a good knowledge of the Azure platform, at the level required to do your job as an architect in a thorough way.
  • In doing so, you are not limited to IAAS. Application platforms such as App Service, AKS and Functions are not unknown to you.
  • You motivate and inspire others to follow your example to keep up the momentum!
  • You are analytical, communicative and know how to approach customers in a friendly/respectful way.You can work independently, but also enjoy working in a team.
  • Furthermore, you are not afraid to take ownership and are keen to shape your own career.
  • Experience in architectural assignments is a plus.
