Senior Security Advisor

Cegeka is number 1 for Security in the annual Whitelane Research! Our team of enthusiastic and driven Security professionals is looking for new colleagues! Have you been bitten by the Security virus and do you enjoy advising clients?

• You will be part of an international team of Security Advisors (+/- 20 people spread over Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania & Italy) and form an important link between the clients and the Cegeka teams when it comes to Information Security & Cybersecurity
• You support the Cegeka teams in the day-to-day operational security activities by providing advice regarding security
• You analyse and report results from vulnerability scans and the Cegeka SOC monitoring services, you advise on mitigating and/or compensating measures and improvements
• You are the driving force behind the continuous development of our customers' security processes
• You know how to adequately understand customer risks. You translate the security requirements into an action plan and advise the clients and Cegeka teams in the application of these security requirements
• You are a sounding board within Cegeka and you actively contribute to corporate security awareness (communicating vision, support, advice) to project teams, programmes and management.
• You perform general assessments at clients according to the Continuous Security Advisory Framework (CSAF), based on standards such as ISO27001 and CIS Controls. You make the report of this and present the conclusions to the clients concerned.

• You have at least 4 years of experience in a Cybersecurity oriented function (e.g. as advisor, consultant, analyst, information security officer, ...)
• You have a bachelor/master degree or equivalent through experience
• You have a good knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST or ISO27001. Knowledge of CIS Controls is a plus
• CISSP and/or CISM certification and other relevant certification is a plus
• You have a hands-on and proactive mindset
• You have a 'can-do' mentality and are flexible to accommodate different customers, technologies and services
• You have broad expertise and include knowledge and experience with SOC/SIEM environments, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Vulnerability Management
• You have strong communication and presentation skills
• You are able to communicate with different stakeholders within an organisation (e.g. CISO, IT Manager, engineering teams, ...)
• Depending on where you live, you can work in our offices in Hasselt, Leuven, Ghent or Antwerp in combination with work from home.  You will also occasionally work at our customers' premises
• You have a perfect knowledge of Dutch and English.
