Will you obtain a bachelor's or master's degree in summer 2025 and be ready for your first job? Do you have a passion for cloud technologies such as Azure and are ready to put new technologies into practice? Then this job is for you! As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will work on the development, implementation and optimisation of cloud platforms within the Flemish government. You will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in Azure, with occasional glances at AWS, and contribute to innovative applications that improve the functioning of government services. You will:

  • Help set up and manage cloud infrastructures in Azure.
  • Collaborate with more experienced engineers to implement and optimise technical solutions.
  • Support the management of applications and platforms using cloud tools and automation techniques.
  • Looking at opportunities to integrate new technologies and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with different teams and learn how complex systems are built and managed.

What you need to succeed:

  • You will have a bachelor's or master's degree in Applied Computer Science or Computer Science by summer 2025.
  • You are communicative and write fluently in Dutch. 
  • You have a basic understanding of cloud technologies (preferably Azure, but AWS is also welcome).
  • You have an interest in platform engineering and cloud infrastructures and are willing to learn a lot about them.
  • You have an analytical mindset and can pick up on technical issues quickly.
  • You are curious about new technologies and like to challenge yourself.
  • You enjoy working together in a team, but can also take responsibility for your own tasks.
  • You have a basic knowledge of scripting languages or are willing to learn this further.
