Anneke Bossier works as the Business Architect at Cegeka for our client Carglass: 'As a Business Architect, I help Carglass achieve its strategic objectives. I do this by collaborating closely with various Carglass stakeholders, as well as with the development teams at Cegeka.'
At Cegeka, we always aim for long-lasting, sustainable relationships with our clients. This is no different in the case of Carglass. From day one, there was a connection. In the past, it was sometimes jokingly said that the sum of Cegeka and Carglass is greater than 2. By joining forces, we can achieve something together that is greater. This spirit continues to be present to this day.

What do we do at Carglass?
At Carglass, as Cegeka, we are responsible for the applications that support crucial business-critical processes. This ranges from Microsoft Dynamics ERP to tailor-made applications supporting the customer contact center and service center. The solution includes, among other things, a fully custom-built planning engine, as well as an application on tablets used by technicians on the workshop floor.
Who is part of the team?
To keep all these applications up to date, two teams are constantly at work. One team maintains the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system, while the other team focuses more on custom applications. The custom development team of Digital Business consists of 4 developers, 1 proxy, 1 scrum master/proxy, and 1 technical architect.
What have we recently achieved?
Today's cars are filled with technology. What was a simple replacement or repair of car glass 10 years ago is no longer the case today. If you have the opportunity to work together for a long time, as is the case for me, you see the changes every day. It's important to keep your finger on the pulse and respond to these changes in a timely manner. Recently, we did this at Carglass as well. The driver assistance systems (ADAS) that require recalibration after windshield replacement were critically examined and approached differently. We, as Cegeka teams together with Carglass, can rightly say that with this project, we helped Carglass be prepared for the future and future changes.
How does your day look like?
After the daily coordination moments with both teams, a significant part of my day consists of coordination meetings with Carglass business. It's crucial to know what's going on. Picking up new ideas, assessing and developing them if they prove viable. Once the projects are defined, I have to ensure that everything is developed in line with Carglass' expectations.
What are important skills needed in your job?
Critical thinking, active listening, and creativity are certainly among the most important qualities. Not just going along with what seems like a ready-made story that lands on your desk, but questioning, actively probing into the why and how, listening to arguments and counterarguments, engaging in debate, and then using creativity to collaboratively find solutions.
Additionally, the skill of advising is important: determining which (new) functionalities belong where, ranging from ERP to custom applications, as well as other solutions. Seeking not necessarily the most familiar, but the best solutions for Carglass.
What do you enjoy about working for Carglass?
At Cegeka, we always aim for long-lasting, sustainable relationships with our clients. This is no different in the case of Carglass. From day one, there was a connection. In the past, it was sometimes jokingly said that the sum of Cegeka and Carglass is greater than 2. By joining forces, we can achieve something together that is greater. This spirit continues to be present to this day. It's a particularly nice feeling when you're all pulling in the same direction, heading in the same direction. This brings a smile every day and gives the courage to dive back in.
