Insights from a System Engineer in Observability

Briefly describe your role as a System Engineer in the Observability Team.
"I ensure the reliability and performance of IT infrastructure and applications by deploying, maintaining, and optimizing observability tools. I collaborate with architects to design monitoring solutions, create dashboards, set up alerts, and provide real-time insights. I also offer technical support, troubleshoot issues, and refine monitoring systems to prevent problems, ensuring a stable and high-performing IT environment."


What do you find most appealing about your current role?

"I enjoy the multidisciplinary nature of the role, blending system architecture, development, data analysis, and IT operations. Solving complex problems across technical domains and staying updated on new tools keeps the work dynamic and fulfilling."

What experience did you bring to Cegeka?
"I began as a developer, building programming and problem-solving skills. As a technical consultant, I aligned technical solutions with business goals. Later, as a functional consultant, I bridged business requirements with technical implementation. Finally, as a performance engineer, I specialized in system optimization. These diverse roles gave me a well-rounded foundation for my current position."

 

Any tips for those uncertain about their career path?
"Stay curious and explore various roles to find your interests and strengths. Seek mentors, build transferable skills, and don't fear change—career paths are rarely linear. Use every experience as an opportunity to learn and grow."
