Securitas establishes unified digital workspace with Dynamics 365

When your company grows through a series of portfolio expansions, how do you make sure everyone is on the same page? That’s the question global player in intelligent security and surveillance Securitas needed answered. In recent years, Securitas has expanded its workforce to 6,800 employees in Belgium and Luxemburg, while broadening its service portfolio significantly.

The growth brought several challenges with it. Primarily, there was a strong need to better align the various divisions, services and technologies within the company. In addition, Securitas was confronted with the issue of modernizing a number of legacy applications. This in turn fitted into a broader context of digitization in its operations, and more specifically its backend.

Dynamics 365 as a total solution

Before kicking off the project, Securitas first had to define the right scope. “Instead of choosing a comprehensive solution, we wanted to focus on what is really important for our business,” explains Frank Lambrigts, CEO of Securitas Belgium. “With Cegeka's support, we drew up a clear plan with concrete objectives.” 

Stefanie Laeveren, Business Development Manager at Cegeka, describes how her team helped Securitas in three areas with Microsoft Dynamics 365. “First, we implemented Dynamics 365 Finance to support Securitas’ financial processes. In addition, we deployed Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management in the Securitas Technology department, which implements smart and innovative security solutions. Finally, we also rolled out our own reporting solution Cegeka Business Insights, which consists of a number of out-of-the-box cubes on top of Dynamics 365.

Improved efficiency and reporting

Frank reflects on the project with great satisfaction. “Choosing Cegeka was obvious. They clearly have the right focus and expertise when it comes to these kinds of challenges and solutions. On top of that, the human factor really won us over: we were soon on the same page about all the deliverables and targets and the contact remained very close throughout the entire project.” 

He’s also pleased with the technology provided: “Thanks to Microsoft Dynamics 365, our processes are much more integrated than before. Cegeka implemented a fit-for-purpose, user-friendly and future-proof ERP platform that provides great benefits in terms of efficiency, transparency and reporting.”

A platform that can mature with Securitas

Securitas is currently performing a number of smaller optimization trajectories in Dynamics 365 with the assistance of Cegeka. According to Frank, the future looks bright: “We are still working on optimizing our new system and broadening the scope of the solution. Since we are a very mature group, we can carry out a lot of these optimizations ourselves. At the same time, we continue to work closely with Cegeka to become a truly connected company in the long run.”
