2024 Microsoft Release Wave 2: what’s new for Dynamics 365 Human Resources?

The 2024 release wave 2 plan covers all new functionalities planned to be delivered to market from October 2024 to March 2025. We have listed all important changes to Dynamics 365 Human Resources: from Copilot as your own new personal assistant to centralizing HR data.

Avoid duplication with Microsoft Entra ID integration

Only updating data at one place and avoiding duplicate entries? This new feature will help you with that! This also decreases data entry errors, and increases overall efficiency. In the current process, you are required to enter employee data in Microsoft Entra and in Dynamics 365 Human Resources individually. With the update you will benefit from a streamlined process, where all data flows into the other.

Use recruiting for service-centric organizations

This new recreating feature provides human resources business partners, recruiters and hiring managers with various abilities. Managers can use the self-service feature to submit a recruitment request that signals the beginning of the recruiting activities for the hiring team. Recruiters can use a model-driven Power Apps app to manage jobs, internal job postings, interviews, feedback and candidate pipelines. And to create the full experience: candidates can use the job portal built on Power Pages to apply and track progress.

Recruiting and Copilot

With Copilot as an add-on you will now get your own personal assistant, to guide you through every step of the hiring journey. Copilot helps recruiters with a suggested job description (that can be adjusted) and suggests a set of interview questions based on the job description, the candidate’s application and resume information. Candidate assessments will also be streamlined with Copilot, and recruiters will be provided with a list of candidates who are the best fit for the role.

Integrate Human Resources with Viva Connections

The integration with Microsoft Viva Connections centralizes human resources data and eliminates the need to sign into separate systems. You can now benefit from single sign-on access, and access all HR-related data directly within Microsoft Teams. And having all data in one convenient location enhances productivity and the full user experience.
